WILL THE DESIGN CENTER REVITALIZE DETROIT'S NEW CENTER AREA AND PROVIDE YOUNG PEOPLE WITH THE STRONG EDUCATION THEY DESERVE? Through a $145 million redevelopment project, CCS transformed the General Motors' historic Argonaut Building into the Taubman Center for Design Education. The 760,000-square-food building was transformed from a research and design facility into an integrated learning community that enhances the image of Detroit and advances the revitalization of the area while promoting and expanding the creative economy. This new facility represents a wonderful opportunity for students interested in pursuing careers that integrate art and technology. |
